Vitruvius are recruiting for a gradate engineer or someone who is wanting to build a career in the railway industry and looking for a lot of development, exposure and support.
The role is not bound and can be crafted to the right candidate, whether you have some experience or are new to the rail industry and want to work whilst receiving internal company guidance and support in technical and professional development.
This role will require national travel and flexible working hours including occasional weekends and public holidays.
The Junior / Graduate Rail Engineer will primarily assist with the delivery of rail projects nationally for the transport team and to a lesser extent support other project within the Wellington Region.
The role will be responsible for representing Vitruvius and interacting professionally with client representatives ensuring consistent, on time, in full and in specification execution of project work to enable clients to meet their business expectations and KPI’s.
This will include track inspections, construction monitoring, data processing and analysis, quality assurance, planning activities, progress reporting and implementation of planned work schedules.
In addition, the role has input toward the future direction of Vitruvius and will be encouraged to explore new business and client opportunities.
Above all the Junior / Graduate Rail Engineer will be a safety leader through implementation and adherence to safety plans HSE legislation, codes and practices.
The successful candidate will have:
- Graduate Engineer with minimal experience
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- An enthusiasm for learning and self-learning
- The ability to take initiative
- Full drivers license
