Planning Engineer

The Brief:

The Planning Engineer will manage the project and programme controls methodologies, procedures, and systems across advisory, design, implementation, and management for Vitruvius clients. This focuses primarily on all scheduling and planning management activities but may extend to other Controls functions such as cost & budget management and risk management. The role will continuously monitor the performance of projects in terms of deliverables including contractual and business objectives will ensure client objectives are met.

The role will deliver services independently for clients when related to the above specialist services or when providing this service or within the context of a Vitruvius project team in delivery of a project.

The role will be responsible for representing Vitruvius and interacting professionally with client representatives and other project stakeholders ensuring consistent, on time, in full and in specification execution of project work to enable clients to meet their business expectations and KPIs.

This will include providing other advisory services such as procurement and contract management, as well as technical development, constructability reviews, design, engineering, quality assurance, related field work, planning activities, progress reporting and implementation of planned work schedules. There may be a requirement to supervise large scale civil works with interpretation of investigations that enable proposed recommendations and corrective actions.

Above all the Planning Engineer will be a safety leader through implementation and adherence to safety plans HSE legislation, codes, and practises.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years experience in scheduling & planning management
  • Experience in projects of large scale and complexity across multiple disciplines
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail and enjoys data management
  • Primavera P6 User
