Service Leader – Civil and Water Engineering


The Opportunity

Due to internal movement, our Wellington team is searching for a motivated and engaging Service Leader to lead the Civil & Water team and service line.  This role will springboard off the existing services offered in both Tauranga and Auckland, delivering to the local market.

The Role

The Service Leader is accountable for leading the local service line expertise and deliverables to meet the service line plan.

The Service Leader is accountable for the deliverables including business development, client relationship management, planning and tracking of the pipeline (both opportunities and committed), and the service expertise for delivery.  This is done through leading a productive and engaged team with the right capability and capacity to deliver against the service line plan.

The Service Leader will also fulfil the role of Project Leader ensuring on-time, in-full, and in-specification execution of project work to enable the client to meet their project expectations, across all sectors.

The role will build and foster client relationships and be responsible for representing Vitruvius as a leader of the organisation.

The role is required to build and manage a high-performing and engaged team with the right capability and competency to effectively deliver client projects.  This includes oversight of quality delivery, workload, pipeline, and productivity of the team.

Above all the Service Leader will be a safety leader through implementation and adherence to safety plans HSE legislation, codes, and practices.

The Candidate:

  • 8+ years of experience working in a complex environment
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering (chartership or working towards chartership is highly advantageous)
  • Experience leading and working within a project team
  • Experience in influence and stakeholder management
  • Experience applying commercial acumen to projects
  • Experience as a successful leader
  • Full drivers license
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skill
