Project Management & Delivery

Cameron Road Multi Modal Upgrade Stage 1

Tauranga’s main arterial route, Cameron Rd, will be upgraded and futureproofed from Harington St in the CBD down to 17th Ave beside Tauranga Hospital between April 2021 – October 2023. It aims to make this key route safer, more attractive, and provide more ways to move by giving people greater choice about whether to walk, cycle, scooter, catch a bus or drive. The project is almost entirely Government-funded through the Crown Infrastructure Partners’ Shovel Ready initiative to support local economic recovery from COVID-19.

Vitruvius is providing programme and project management to Tauranga City Council. We understand their business, their processes and their objectives, and have a proven track record of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects in tight timeframes.

During this project we will provide robust risk and quality assurance, apply our knowledge and expertise on infrastructure delivery and risk mitigation, and identify key project milestones and deliverables. We are also fostering a collaborative working environment with contractors and other consultants.

Vitruvius is responsible for managing the detailed design, ECI process (Early Contractor Involvement) as well overseeing the public communication and engagement strategy.
